History

Life is good at Charlane Plantation. We are an award winning tree farm with a long heritage of Conservation, wildlife management, and good southern hospitality.  There is a 250 acre area Cited as a historic district by the national register of historic places.  In this area is our Beloved Homeplace, The Bullard House and Lodge, The Water Garden, The Spring House which was the original water source for our community, and more. History abounds here at Charlane Plantation! The old road running through the heart of it was the Indian Road running along the highwater line of the Ocmulgee River going South towards the ocean.
