2004-2005 CHARLANE PLANTATION HUNTING SEASON

Hospitality is our main focus here at Charlane Plantation. We want for you and your guests to experience the best of plantation hunting.

We offer package hunts, however, we are more than happy to design a special hunt according to your wishes. If you would like individual two party hunts or the hunt wagon please let us know. Airport pickup is available upon request. Two small airports are close by, Herbert Smart (about 10 miles from our house) and Lowe’ Aviation in Macon. A1 Limo Service of Macon is available for airport pick-up. Please let us know ahead of time and we’ll be glad to make arrangements for you.

QUAIL HUNTS

Full Day Quail Hunt Packages (November 1 – March 15)*

1) Includes lodging, meals, guide, dogs, jeep, license, etc. (18 bird limit):
$750 per person/double occupancy
$800 per person/single occupancy

2) Includes lunch, guides, dogs, jeep, license, etc (18 bird limit):
$575 per person (does not include lodging)

Non-shooting guests on full day hunts:
Meals and lodging: $300 per person per day
Guests riding with hunting parties: $75 per person per day (lunch only)

* Full day hunts may be available sooner if there is an earlier frost)

Half-Day Quail Hunt Packages (October 1 – March 15)

1) October 1st through 30th (mornings only) include guides, dogs, jeep, license, etc (12 bird limit)
$350 per person includes guides, dogs, jeep, license, etc (no lunch)
$385 per person includes guides, dogs, jeep, license, etc and a serious southern feast for four or more

2) Half-Day hunt includes lodging, guides, dogs, jeep, license, etc (only available with a full day hunt package purchase):
$625 per person/double occupancy
$675 per person/single occupancy

3) Additional half-day hunt without lodging
$450 per person/double occupancy
$500 per person/single occupancy

Non-shooting guests on half-day hunts
Meals and lodging: $300 per person
Guests riding with hunting parties: $75 per person

Additional services/activities offered:

Cleaned and frozen birds: $.80 each
Charlane coolers for transport: $10.00 each (holds up to 24 birds)
Gun rental: $25.00 per day
Shells are also available. Please let us know in advance if you are carrying an unusual gauge of shell.
Horseback riding hunts. Prior notice is required before your arrival: $100 per person per day/two person minimum
Premier Hunt is for those wishing to quail hunt and hunt deer in a combination event. There will be a morning or an afternoon hunt according to the season. Fishing and tours of the plantation are also available. $1000
Quail hunting guests who wish to bring their own dogs to hunt are welcome to do so. Kennel space available.

DEER HUNTS

As a Quality Deer Management member, we at Charlane abide by their rules and regulations. Thus, there is a fee of $1250 for a non-trophy buck (less than a 15” inside spread). Also, note a big game license is required for this sport. We do not guarantee a deer.

Full Day Deer Hunt Packages (September 11 - January 9)

1) Includes lodging and meals (one shooter buck or one doe):
$550 per person/two person limit

2) Day only, no lodging or meals (one shooter buck or one doe):
$275 per person

Non-shooting guests on hunts

Guests sharing a stand: $75 per person

Additional services/activities offered:

Skinning and capping: $50 per deer
Coolers and shipping available - Next day air only on request
Gun rental: $25.00
Shells are also available. Please let us know in advance if you are carrying an unusual gauge of shell.
Premier Hunt is for those wishing to quail hunt and deer hunt in a combination event. There will be a morning or an afternoon hunt according to the season. Fishing and tours of the plantation are also available. $1000

TURKEY HUNTS

Due to our management practices regarding turkeys, we do not want to harvest more than eight gobblers per year. If when making a reservation we are fully booked please request to be placed on the waiting list. Your name will stay on the list for the following year or in case of a cancellation. A big game license is required for this sport.

Full Day Turkey Hunt Packages (March 26 – April 26)

1) Includes lodging and meals (one gobbler limit*/no jakes)
$550 per person/two person occupancy
*additional gobbler $325

PAYMENT SCHEDULE*

Hunts booked prior to September 1 require a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure the date.
September 1 an additional 40% of the total amount is invoiced.
All hunts booked after September 1 require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
Balance is due at end of hunt. Tipping the guides and staff for exceptional service is always welcomed. While the amount is up to the client’s discretion, we offer the following guideline:
- Standard for a guide is $100 per day
- Cooks and wait staff 10-20% of the meals and lodging

*Due to the size of our plantation, thirty days notice must be given for a refund or the hunt will be invoiced in it’s entirety (it is hard to rebook a date at such short notice). If fewer guests arrive than booked, you will still be invoiced for the original amount. GA sales tax is 7%. Reservations cancelled will be given a full refund if we are notified within 30 days of the scheduled hunt. Please take care in booking your party. Our season is short and our lodging is limited. You will be charged in full for the number of guests and the number of days booked. NO EXCEPTIONS!

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Our insurance policy requires all guests to sign a disclaimer releasing Charlane Plantation and its employees from any liability that may occur due to accidents on the premises.

The consumption of alcohol is not allowed prior to or during any shooting activity.
Any dog shot is a $3000 penalty.
