The Rolling Stones No Filter Tour comes to California this month and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards aren’t the only ones in the spotlight.

The Wall Street Journal just did a feature article on the Stones longtime keyboardist Chuck Leavell.

Leavell who performed at the FestForums in Santa Barbara two years ago is an advocate for environmental friendly forestry.

His wife Rose Lane who also works with the tour is his inspiration.

She inherited farmland covered by trees in Georgia, so they started learning about farming.

Between touring Chuck Leavell hosts a PBS series called America’s Forests.

Leavell hopes people opposed to cutting down trees and those who use them to make pianos, homes and furniture will come together in the name of responsible and sustainable forestry.

Fans can learn more about it on the Mother Nature Network he co-founded.
